Can't import CR2 from 5D Mark IV to Lightroom Classic 8.3.1

I'm having an issue in that LR Classic won't even see my CR2 files to import them.  I installed LR CC and that was fine to import but I don't want to use that. They also will open in PS.   My LR Classic is up to date, version 8.3.1.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Sorry to hear about this, let's make it right.

    As Lightroom Classic is not able to see the images to import, could you please let us know the operating system you're working on?

    Also, where are the images stored?

    According to this article, your camera is compatible with the version of Lightroom you're using. Cameras supported by Camera Raw


    Could you try creating a new catalog for testing purpose and see if you're able to import the raw files?https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

    You can also try resetting the preferences of Lightroom back to default and see if it helps: How to set Lightroom Classic preferences
