Can't open Lightroom after installing

Hi, every time I have tried to install Lightroom classic I am unable to open the application as it says there is a cataloge problem (see picture). How can I solve this problem.

Expanding on dj_paige’s post, you may need to restore the problem catalog with a recent backup catalog. See more onfo in the article available at the link below.

Unexpected error opening catalog — This error means that somehow the catalog is not usable. You need to restore a recent backup of your catalog file by making a copy of the backup and pasting it into the folder where the original was located. (If that doesn't work, try creating a new copy of the backup and pasting it into a new folder on a DIFFERENT disk)

And what happens if you click on that button to choose a different catalog (this may result in needing to create a new catalog) ?

 

Problem may be with your existing catalog, as opposed to the software.
