Can't open LR

When attempting to open LR, I get the following message:

LR encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit. LR will attempt to fix this proble the next time it launches.

I get the same messages the next time LR is relaunched.

How is this problem fixed?

Your previews cache is corrupted. Open your catalog folder, and look for the 'catalogname previews.lrdata' folder. Move it out of the catalog folder and restart Lightroom. Initially you will not see any previews, but then Lightroom should start to rebuild them one by one. If this solves it, then you can trash the old folder.

When attempting to open LR I get the following message:

The message repeats every time LR is relaunched.

Can anyone help resolve this problem?
