Can't Register LR

Suddenly my LR Classic would not show my photos or folders. After lots of time on Help (they were great), I can't register my product and have it show up in my profile section.

    So why didn’t they help with that as well? You normally do not have to register Lightroom Classic. There is no registration number anymore. What you do is log into the Creative Cloud app, and then install Lightroom Classic from there. That’s all.

    Thanks, Johan, I wish it were that simple. When I purchased LR, I was issued a serial number. Each time I contacted Adobe, they asked for it. (I purchased it in California, moved my address to Texas, changed email addresses, and now I travel internationally full time). I thought that once I got the serial number and deleted and reinstalled LR it would all be okay. It's not. I can see folders, but no photos. Thoughts?

    Just Shoot Me,

    I purchased LR sometime in 2015, as I recall. (We have been traveling the world full time for more than three years, so a lot of back of records have been discarded).

    I purchased it online through the Adobe site.

    When I launch LR I get this message:

    When I click the Import button, I see folders and subfolders on both sides of the window, but I can see any images. Is that what you're referring to?

    I have a serial number and when I try to register it on the Adobe site, it won't accept it. When I log on to the Adobe site, LR does not show up. I was drawn to the purchase rather than the ongoing subscription option. If this gets sorted out, should I go with the subscription model?

    Thoughts?

    Forget about registering. It is not needed.

    Your screenshot suggests that Lightroom has created a brand new empty catalog. Choose ‘File - Open catalog’ and search for the one you were using before. There is also a ‘Open Recent’ menu that should list the other catalogs.
