Can't update Lightroom to the current version.

I subscribed to Adobe Creative Cloud 2 weeks ago and have tried to upload the current version of Lightroom with no success, which I find frustrating that I have just subscribed but it doesn't have the latest version!  I have uninstalled it and uploaded a patch that was supposed to fix the problem. I have had 2 sessions with Adobe techs who have tried multiple ways to fix the problem but without any luck. I was told to update my Mac OS to the latest version, Sierra 10.12.6, which I was assured was part of the problem but that didn't work either. I was also told that it might have corrupted slightly when I purchased it. One tech told me in his experience that this was a unique event! I am currently on hold as my case is being reviewed, I have been on hold for 3 hours 30 minutes and counting!!!!!!!!!

I also had major trouble when I transitioned to Creative Cloud subscription.

If the Adobe techs cannot fix for you, I suggest (as was successful for me)-

    1. Download Run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner program to un-install ALL Adobe programs (Lr & Ps)

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

    2. Download and Run the Creative Cloud Desktop App

Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe Creative Cloud trial

    3. Sign in with the CC Desktop App using the email and password you used to buy the CC subscription.

    4. Click the buttons [Install]  in the Desktop App to install programs.

Hi, wobertc, 10 minutes after I posted my last response I got a phone call from Adobe, I am actually on the line to them right now as a tech is trying his hardest to fix the problem! Thanks for your suggestions Adobe actually did what you suggested yesterday and it didn't work. There is a damaged or corrupted file that the tech is looking for and trying to eliminate it from the system!

Hi  dj_paige, I have spent the last 3 frustrating days trying to get Lightroom upgraded to the latest version. I kept saying that a file corruptred when I subscribed. After spend  6 hours, yes, that is correct 6 hours with 3 Adobe techs they finally admitted that there is a corrupted file and that 'my problem' has been accelerated and I will be contacted by Adobe, wait for it....... the next 48-72 hours!!! Yippee, I cant wait for someone spend time going through my system to tell me that there is a corrupted file!!!!! I did suggest that they cancel my subscription and restart it but they said it wouldn't help as it is a software issue! I cheekily suggest that I should get CC free for the next ten years and they offered me 2 free days off my subscription, I was so grateful and humbled by their generous offer. It has been an incredibly frustrating, stressful, time and money wasting week. I just want the problem fixed. The techs have been really nice and helpful and have done everything in their power to help me but as yet no luck. The really funny thing is that I was a a fellow photographers place the other day and they were working on an image and said what is that dehaze slider? and they said you have it on yours seeing you only subscribed 2 weeks ago and I said I didn't and guess what? I didn't! Sorry about the rant but when you tell 3 techs what you think the problem is only to be ignored and then for them to tell me what I suggested to them is a very frustrating!

And I was put on hold on the Adobe help line for FOUR HOURS!!!!!!! before I hung up.
