Can't update LR6

I purchased LR 6 as a stand alone in June, 2015 - I didn't purchase through Creative Cloud membership.  When I select Help - Updates, it tells me that my LR is up to date even though it's still version 6.0 and the current version, to my understanding, is 6.9

Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the suggestion - I downloaded LR6 as you recommended and went back to help -> update and the option for updating to LR6.9 appeared.  The update worked.  I noticed that since I updated to 6.9, version 6.10 has become available.  As before, the option to upgrade to 6.10 does not appear.  Am I missing something in my preference selections?
