I am trying to create a new catalogue in Lightroom classic, but it won't let me... all I get to do is make a new folder for the catalogue, but the "create" button stays greyed out. I have searched for solutions in this comminuty but haven't found anything...

Correct answer JohanElzenga

In your screenshot you have not yet given the new catalog a name ("Save as": top of the dialog). You can't create a catalog without a name.

In System Preferences, >Security & Privacy, >Full Disk Access, do you see Lightroom listed? If not, do add it and try again.

The other issue could be trying to do this in Dropbox which AFAIK, isn't ideal.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I've now added Lightroom to have full disk access and I'm trying to create the catalogue on my mac rather than in Dropbox, but still no luck...

Does Dropbox have Accessibility?

That on the MAC, in Security & Privacy
