Cannot drag and drop from Grid view to collection - stopped working today!

I have always been able to drag and drop images from the Library Grid view into a collection in Lightroom Classic.  Just today, this stopped working.   The image cannot be picked up from the grid and dragged, let alone dropped.  I can't find any settings in View options that affect this.  Help?  Release 14.5.1.

Found the problem!  I had upgraded Mac OS and somehow the option to use trackpad to drag and drop had been turned off.  Turned it on an it works again.  Weird.
