Cannot Import - Lightroom Classic 15.1

I have been unable to import in Lightroom Classic for months now. The issue seems to be in the importer dialog as it won't load my photos in the import preview. I've given LrC full disk access on Mac. I've restarted. I've cleared my preferences and catalog. I've tried synchronizing the folder and skipping the import dialog. Nothing gets my photos into my catalog. Any help?

On which drive/location are the images stored, card reader, camera, internal hard drive?

If on card reader or camera, do you have tried another USB port?

If you conected the camera to the Mac, try a card reader.

Which format does the images have?

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 9 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

Hi @bixby,

1. Can you share a screen recording of your workflow ?

2. a) Is it happening only on 15.1?

b) What happens when you try on a new catalog?

3. In Lightroom, go to preferences-> General -> Hold Alt/Option key, and click on 'Generate Diagnostic Report', and share that file with me.

I left the import dialog open and walked away for a few hours, when I came back it was loaded and I was able to import. I'm trying now and it opens the dialog and spins the loading wheel in the bottom left. Still spinning after about 10 mins of being opened while I typed this up.

I saw a couple errors in the diagnostic report so I'll work through those. These seem to be the most serious:

objc[47594]: Class SODSFileDecode is implemented in both /Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/Frameworks/WichitaFoundation.agtoolkit/Versions/A/WichitaFoundation (0x1049f9510) and /Applications/Adobe Lightroom Classic/Adobe Lightroom Classic.app/Contents/Frameworks/CameraRaw.lrtoolkit/Versions/A/CameraRaw (0x1328d4018). This may cause spurious casting failures and mysterious crashes. One of the duplicates must be removed or renamed.

2026-01-08 12:12:10.881 Adobe Lightroom Classic[47594:2216620] attributesOfFileSystemForPath had error: The file “Macintosh HD” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file.
