Question

Cannot import to LRC on PC (worked fine on Mac)

I have been using LRC since from the beginning on Macs and it has always been able to import images from my iphone.

I recently switched to PC (Windows 10) and it will not import from iphone. It will only recognise the phone after a full restart *some of the time*, and will only import 1 or two files then stall out and never import more. Most of the time it will not recognise the phone.

I pay for the full Adobe Suite, and all apps are up to date as of today.

What is the official method for importing photos on the PC Version from an iPhone?

LRC 12.4

Windows 10 Pro (22H2)

My preference it to use Lightroom (mobile version) instead of the Apple camera app. You can take photos with the Lightroom app which gives you much more shooting control that the Apple camera app.

Lightroom on the iPhone uploads the originals to the Adobe cloud and from there they will download to your LrC. You can go to the LrC preferences to tell LrC where to save the iPhone Lightroom (mobile) photo coming down from the cloud.

A nice feature of Lightroom mobile is that you can have the Lightroom app on your iPhone import photos from your Apple camera roll and they will upload to the cloud just like the photos you shoot through Lightroom on the iPhone.

Thanks for your response...

I prefer to never use cloud options like you describe however... trust/security etc... Adobe was already cought once copying your photos sneakly behind the scenes....
