Cannot update Lightroom classic to latest version.

Question

I currently have Lightroom Classic 12.0.1 and tried to update to 12.3. I get a message that says Lightroom is running (it's not) and that it won't update unless Lightroom is not running. I was able to update Photoshop, Bridge and camera raw to their latest versions with no problem.

Running Windows 10, 64 Bit. 24 GB RAM.

restart your computer and then try updating before doing anything else.
