Cannot upload [Unable to open Canon 5D Mark III Raw files in Lightroom 2.7]

Receiving "Unknown errors. (134)" when trying to upload. Running Lightroom 2.7 on Window 8. Files are Raw CR2 shot on a Canon 5DMark III, same as I always shoot, but a new camera. My computer and Photoshop are recognizing/opening the files, but Lightroom will not view them/upload. I've tried using the card reader (my standard way) and direct through the camera. Neither is working.

Correct answer John Waller

The 5D Mark III was first supported in Lightroom 4.1 so you'll never be able to open those Raw files in Lightroom 2.7

Cameras supported by Camera Raw

If you don't upgrade Lightroom then use Photoshop to save them as PSD or DNG files. Then open them in Lightroom.

Your camera is not supported by Lightroom 2.7. You can either purchase the current version of Lightroom, or download and use the free Adobe DNG converter.

The Adobe DNG converter isn't recognizing the files either.

If you've got Photoshop you don't need the DNG converter. Use Photoshop to save them as PSD or DNG files.

FYI, the DNG converter works on folders of CR2 files, not individual files.
