Canon 6D and Raw Files not Importing

I recently got a new Canon 6D. I use creative cloud and have everything updated. I have also installed a DNG converter. When I try to upload my files into lightroom, I get the error message.

"The file is not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom"

Any ideas? HELP!!!

    the eos 6d is older (and would use an old camera raw - 7.3).  do you mean an eos 6d mark II (camera raw 9.12)?

    what version of camera raw is installed in your lightroom?
