Catalog backups not zipped anymore?

I just migrated to a new Mac Mini M2 Pro (latest MacOS) from a 2013 iMac (MacOS 10.15), and I noticed that my daily LRC catalog backups to my Dropbox are not zipped anymore. Has this changed in the lastest version of LRC? It was always a zip file for v11, which was much smaller obviously than the v12 catalog backups I have now. Any way I can change it back to automatically create a zip file again?

Solved: apparently it was as simple as temporarily changing the location of the backup to my desktop and then changed it back back to my Dropbox location. Not sure why, but that did the trick; my backup files are now zipped again in Dropbox.

I did give LrC full disk access but I didn't need to do that to Dropbox for this to work.

Thank you Johan and Jim for your help.

Nothing has changed, catalog backups are still zipped using version 12.1.

As that's a new system with a new OS, have you ensured that Lightroom Classic has been granted Full Disk Access? If not, do that then try a catalog backup again. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/quick-tips-how-to-give-full-disk-access-to-lightroom-classic-on-macos/td-p/12913413

Did this, rebooted the computer, but still doesn't back up the catalog to a zip file.

Lightroom still zips the backed up catalog. Just watch the backup dialog. Dropbox changed a lot with the new MacOS Ventura version, including a new location for the Dropbox local folder. Maybe that could explain it somehow?

I believe it indeed has to do with Dropbox, as I just changed the location for the backup to my desktop and it works fine. Possibly need to grant Dropbox access to my computer as well.

Yes, the Dropbox app also needs Full Disk Access.
