why are the edited photos in my lightroom catalog blurry or not loading properly

Following is probably not your problem, but it is something to consider

 

Library Path: C:\Users\janai\OneDrive\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom Catalog-v13-4.lrcat

 

 

I see that you have your catalog automatically syncing to OneDrive. This is probably caused by Microsoft insisting on using a MS account, instead of a local account to logon to your computer. And as a result, you get hooked into using OneDrive, and  for syncing various files, specifically User system libraries (folder) such as /Users, /Documents, /Music, /Pictures, /Videos into OneDrive. (in your Windows File Explorer, you can see what folders are syncing to OneDrive)

 

Problem is, as you edit in LrC, OneDrive is constantly being sync to, every edit, and a call to OneDrive, busy busy busy. LrC does not exactly like that. Now on a good day, perhaps not an issue, oh things might slow down a bit. but on a bad Internet day, LrC performance can degrade, and on a very bad day, the catalog can get corrupted. Most do not wind up with a corrupted catalog, that requires some bad luck. Some say LrC and OneDrive are made in Heaven others say, nope, made in Hell.

 

You might want to consider either disassociation your catalog with OneDrive, and/or moving your catalog to another folder that is not sync to OneDrive, a root level folder, name it something like MyLightroom, MyPhotography, Rumpelstiltskin, anything other than Pictures, etc, or within /Users.

 

make very very sure that you have a good backup before changing this.

    Is this in the Develop Module? Or in the Library Module grid mode? Or in the Library Module Loupe view? Or somewhere else?

    Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

    It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

    Check also that's your system is up-to-date.

    Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver? If you have a NVidia graphic card installed, make sure that you are using the recent Studio version of the driver, not the Game Ready version.

     

    If this doesn't help, please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.
