Question

Catalog converted to new Lightroom CC, and I want it back to Classic

SO I "upgraded" to Lightroom CC before knowing what it was. I HATE IT! After realizing that I could go back it might be to late.  I really do not want to use the new Lightroom CC. I tried to open up backups but it seems the back ups have also been converted to this new Lightroom CC and will not open in Classic.  I really hope I'll be able to change it back to Classic or else my opinion of adobe goes down the drain.

As from Jim Hess-

your Lightroom Classic CC catalog should still be intact and usable.

Search your computer for Catalog files that end with the file-type of  .LRCAT

If LR-Classic is still installed, then opening the found .LRCAT file (double-click, etc) should open Lightroom-Classic.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

Lightroom CC is not an upgrade from Lightroom Classic CC. It's a different program aimed in a different type of user. I've played with Lightroom CC a little bit, but I haven't migrated my Lightroom Classic CC catalog. It's my understanding that your Lightroom Classic CC catalog should still be intact and usable. So something else is going on here.
