catalog export failure

Question

I am unable to export my catalog from my travel laptop. It hangs partway through. I’ve tried moving the location to a different place on the HD and reimporting. I’ve tried exporting to a variety of places, both internal and external. I’ve tried optimizing the catalog. I’ve tried quitting and restarting LR classic.

You are having trouble exporting. But then you mentioned re-importing, and I’m not really following this description.

Also, when you talk about “catalog”, do you mean the actual catalog file (*.LRCAT) or are you referring to the photos as “catalog”?

Can you just copy your LrC catalog and photos from your travel laptop to the other computer, using your operating system, and then see if you can import that catalog on your other computer?
