Catalogue Folders Greyed Out with a Question Mark

Hi I have a Mac and the hard drive crashed recently and I have had an SSD installed.  In lightroom I have opened my old catalogue from my last back up  and all the folders are greyed out with dark grey with a question mark on some folders and others are light grey without a question mark.   I have clicked on a folder to find the folder location and when it takes me to it all the folders at that location are greyed out.

Just before the hard drive crashed I upgraded Icloud so everything was in the cloud and I also had the system backed up on an external hard drive.  

I would be very grateful if anyone has some advise on how to fix this please.
