Change from Lightroom Classic BACK to previous version

I installed the Classic about 2 weeks ago.  During the install, it converted my catalog to a new catalog for this version.  I have continued to have issues with Classic.  It will not use my video card, a Nvidia with 3G processing.  If I turn it off and use the integrated video it's so slow I can hardly edit even one image without grinding to a "not responding" message.  After 5 hours with Adobe on a help call, they had NO SOLUTION...  they wanted to turn off my integrated card, but the MSI machine I have can not turn off the on board video card  (I checked with the manufacturer).  So.. I have to go back to a previous version.

MY QUESTION:  What happens to this catalog... can it be opened by a previous version?  I have two weeks of additional work in it since the conversion to Classic.

If I uninstall classic and reinstall the previous version, will I be able to open the catalog that was used by LR Classic?

And if I use DNG files and save my metadata to the file for the new work I added the past two weeks?

The Lightroom Classic catalog is not compatible with previous versions. However, unless you have deleted it, the catalog that you were using previously is still on your computer. Save all changes to XMP files then you could import those files into a new catalog with the older version. However, any new adjustments made with adjustments that were not in the older version will not be understood and applied.
