Changing my account from corporate to personal

Hi there

At present, I have access to Lightroom Classic via my employer (a University), but I am leaving their employment shortly. My Lightroom Catalog on my personal home computer is currently logged into this corporate account, but when I leave, I want to change to a personal account with a paid subscription (i.e. the photography plan).

My question is, can I do this by simply logging out of the corporate account and then logging into my personal account, or is there other stuff I have to do? All my photos are on my computer, as is the catalogue, and I'm hoping it's that simple to switch accounts?

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks

You shouldn't have to do much to be able to use your catalog from employer account by your personal account. Just log in to your personal account, and the catalog should work.

If your Adobe ID is going to change as a result (and I suspect it will from an .edu to whatever you will be using),  you can contact  Customer Care and ask them to migrate the account for you. You should do that before you leave your employ.

The Destination Adobe ID should be empty and needs to be subscribed in order to accommodate the amount of data you are using.

Thanks very much for your reply. I did as you said and after a few moments, it now all works prefectly with my personal account!

Thanks again, best wishes, Michael
