Changing the location ard/or the LrToolkitIdentifier of a publish service plugin

I have a publish service plugin with a set of collections &  sets set up in the service. These have been published to the remote location. If I want to change where I want this plugin on disk, or if I want to change its LrToolkitIdentifier as far as I can see the only way to do this is to re-install it and copy over the collections and sets by hand. Is this correct or is there a better way
