Chromatic aberrations issue

Hi, !
I've got a real problem with chromatic aberrations in Lightroom 2015.12 Camera raw 9.12.

Camera Nikon D810, Lens 24mm f/3/5 Tilt-shift.
Jpegs from camera are fine without any chromatic aberrations.
But I really need raws. And lightroom CAN'T remove chromatic aberrations. Sometimes it makes the image even worse.
I understand it's not a typical lens. And it needs more advanced algorithm to work with it. Anyway the camera itself somehow manages this challenge.
I love lightroom and want to use it, and I really hope Adobe adds an algorithm for such lenses.

Sounds like your getting CA in shift areas only.  Certainly there's no lens profile for any TS lens.  But manual corrections do work.  Just do them in the area they are needed and not as an overall move.  In this TS Lens case I'd recommend correcting what's needed and putting that together with the good portion of the image in PS.

Yes, because the lense is tilted, the lateral aberations are bigger in one part of the image and smaller in another. The algorithm tries correcting and fails either this side or that.

Currently mainly because manual local retouch is too long, i use this workflow:

1. Raw to 16 bit tiff in nikon software with proper lateral aberations correction, flat curve.

2. All other adjustments in Lightroom.

3. Retouch in Photoshop.

    I'm not familiar with how chromatic aberration on tilt-shift lenses might be different, but there is more than one type of fringing and they sometimes need different approaches to correction in Lightroom. Just applying the profile is sometimes not enough.

    It isn't always obvious how to work the chromatic aberration controls in Lightroom, so here's a really good article on how to use them for various situations. See if any of the techniques fix the problem: New Color Fringe Correction Controls

    Thanks, Conrad, I'm familiar with these techniques.

    The fact is, no profile is possible with a tilt shift lense, because of the lens's nature itself.

    Every other setting will result in a different profile. And you can't actually recognize which settings were used.

    The current algorithm tries to correct one area of such image, while totally distorting the other areas.

    You can easily remove CA in LightRoom using Lens Corrections.  Check the box and away you go.

    If (like me) you want to do more than automatic, use the Manual tab

    Choose which CA and hue your bothered by and just fix that.

    Thanks, Bob, I'm aware of this lightroom functionality. The manual mode works in a somewhat different way. And often eats needed detail. While true correction of aberrations adds sharpness to the image due to alignment of color chanels.

    Anyway my request is to enhance lightroom Remove chromatic aberrations feature to work with tilt shift lenses.
