Question

Cloud → Classic sync is not working

There is a one-way sync issue between Lightroom (cloud) and Lightroom Classic.

Sync works correctly from Classic → Cloud:

If I create a collection in Lightroom Classic and enable sync, it appears in Lightroom (cloud) with all photos.

However, Cloud → Classic does not work:

If I create an album in Lightroom (cloud) and upload photos, the album and its photos do not appear in Lightroom Classic in the Collections list.

Both apps are logged into the same Adobe account. Only one catalog is syncing in Classic. I have already tried pausing/resuming sync and restarting Classic.

System info:
macOS Tahoe 26.3

Lightroom 9.2

Lightroom Classic 15.2

Did you check the collection set hierarchy? New albums arrive as collections in a ‘From Lightroom’ collection set.

Hey, @nmarinel. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll help you figure this out.

Are you certain which images or collections/albums are affected? Lightroom Classic does not sync directly with the Lightroom desktop; you'll have to check Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/4eF2E7u).

In Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/4eF2E7u) and look for the Deleted Section and the Sync issues tab (if they exist). Emptying both of these has helped in the past. Before emptying these tabs, please ensure you have backups for the images.

After this change, let Lightroom sync and check if it returns to normal.

    Thanks!
