collection set

I'm also having this issue. I can technically drag the photos around, but the collections show with a "no" symbol (circle & slash) when I try to drop into them. I have shut down my computer multiple times and reset preferences and none have made any difference. My mobile isn't connected to the computer.

You cannot add photos to a Collection SET.

You cannot add photos to a Smart Collection.

You can add photos to a Standard Collection, a Book Collection, a Print Collection, a Slideshow Collection.

i can not add to any collections. Collection set or smart collections. I have unistalled and reinstalled. Still no luck.

You cannot add to collection sets or smart collections. You can only add to regular collections that are not collection sets, and not smart collections.

If you are trying to move photos into a regular collection (which you have not said that is what you are doing), you need to point your mouse at the thumbnail of the photo (and not the gray area outside of the thumbnail), hold the mouse button down and then drag to the regular collection (which is not a collection set or smart collection).
