Collections that I "make public" frequently don't update

Does anyone understand why Lightroom syncing is so terrible, and if there is anything that can be done, besides wait for some much hoped-for future version that doesn't suck so bad?

My syncing problems are mutiple and have only gotten worse over time. The first problem that I have is that collections that I "make public" frequently don't update the photo in the public gallery when I make changes in lightroom--especially when I "edit original" in photoshop. In order to get the public gallery to reflect the changed images I have to do this ridiculous process that I found online where I discard the smart preview, then save matadata to files, then read metadata from files. Sometimes I will have to repeat this process two or three times for one or two images in a collection before they will finally update. This is a time-consuming and therefore costly problem for me because I use the public galleries to preview photos with clients before delivering them. I have to do this for nearly every job.

The next syncing problem I have is another one commonly discussed on these forums. A photo or two will get stuck somewhere in the syncing process, and Lightroom classic won't ever finish syncing. Sometimes this will just be one or two images, and other times it seems like those stuck images gum up the tubes and nothing else will sync. This problem is particularly acute if I try editing on multiple devices. I used to use my iPad Pro in my workflow because I like using my apple pencil for the adjustment brush, but I've had to completely remove the iPad from my workflow because it seems that Adobe can no longer handle it. If I try moving between devices, even waiting several minutes for syncing between switching, there is a high likelyhood that syncing will stop working.

Once again, there is a quasi-solution here on the forums which is to hold down the option key and "Rebuild Sync Data". That always solves the problem, but it takes a long time, which is a nightmare when I have clients waiting on delivery. One week I had to redubild my sync data 3 times!

I don't understand why the Lightroom Sync panel in the Preferences is so impotent. It will show me which files are stuck, but I can't do anything about it. If Lightroom can show me which files are having problems, why can't I tell it to stop trying with that file or reset it somehow without having to completely rebuild the sync data?

What is worse, is there used to be more of a workaround. It used to be that when a file would get stuck like this you could log in to Lightroom in a browser and there was a way to find the sync errors and stop them. I don't remember exactly how that worked, but however it did, that option seems to have gone away. Neither in Lightroom in the browser or Lightroom CC on any of my devices can I find a way to isolate the images where there are sync errors, even though some of the help pages indicate that there should be a filter option for that. What is going on?

If there are solutions to these problems that I haven't been able to find through these forums or Google, I would really appreciate someone pointing them out to me. If there aren't solutions, then I beg the Adobe team to make sync better.
