Color mixer point color does not work together with Masks

If I choose a mask e.g. subject and after that want to use the point color from the color mixer the mask menu closes and the point color uses the selected color of the whole picture instead of the preferred mask

Any ideas how to solve this?

It does sound like the image-wide Point Color might be used unintentionally. Make sure you have not scrolled down too far, and are using the Point Color controls for the mask and not the entire image. As you scroll, notice that the mask-specific controls at the top of the right panel stack have a lighter background than the image-wide controls at the bottom.

Sounds like you select the global option instead of the option in the masking panel. Check that the option in the masking panel is not collapsed so you don't see it.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
