Color range and auto mask not working - not selecting/masking as it should.

My brush auto mask and color range selection are not working as they should. When i select a color with color range its not isolating corretly. Almost as if it selects base of lomunocity instead of color. The same goes with auto mask on the brush. I had this problem for about 1-2 years through multiple firmwares. 

Using Lightroom 13.2 and macbook pro m1 max ventura 13.5

I will post a few screenshots help describe. 

On the first image i have selected the green plant with color range, but as you can see by the red overlay a majority of the image is effected. It doesnt matter if i adjust the "range" slider.
On the second image you can se that the auto mask on the brush dosent work ether. Is is a perfect circle no matter where i select.
