Combine denoised stacked images into one image

Hello everyone,

when using the "Denoise" function for images, a denoised copy of the file is created by default and the image is stacked. I was not aware of this function at first, but it now increases the memory requirements considerably. I have now disabled the function, but would like to know how I can combine the previously processed images into one image. Is there a way to do this?

No, the process create a new DNG file. The original photo, the original file is left alone. This is by design.

P.S. I would always treat that original photo as a master, never ever delete to save space. perhaps relocate, but never trash it. You never know when you may want it back, Adobe improves the AI Denoise? You would want it back. Some other App like ON1, or Topaz, or Capture One, does better, you will want that original back.

Best solution, add hard driver space, add hard drives.

P.S. the photos do not need to be on the same hard drive as the catalog. But they should be on a hard drive connected to the computer, not the cloud (some claim that works, but you will see lots of posting where that fouls things up), not a NAS (some make that work, but, well, until it does not..). Their is little LrC performance degradation if they are on say an external hard drive.
