Considering switching off Lightroom classic and using Cloud version
Looking for some advice. I have used Lightroom Classic for years now. Ported from Appture years ago into Lightroom before the web version was available. Here's my situation:
- 15 years of folders that hold my photos and video (by year and event) - stored on NAS and connected to Lightroom Classic
- I have a Mac Mini, but I don't have enough disk space to store the synced photos, so I had to move my sync file to an external drive connected to my Mac Mini, and I am finding this is not fast enough to go through photos quickly.
- I have also had issues with the mobile sync not finishing the sync into Lightroom classic - there have been 23 photos that it's waiting on, and it never finishes - 2 weeks now - this could be related to using an external drive for the target for the synced photos - who knows.
Curious if it would make more sense to store my photos in the cloud and use Lightroom for the Cloud to eliminate all of the issues I have been having.
I am not a professional photographer, but I like to organize my photos, and I use the complete Adobe suite to modify my photos and videos.
Curious if you think I am crazy to move to the cloud version?? and if not, how would I move the photos I have stored from 2001 until today into a cloud storage option?
Photos stored locally, but I have found sync issues with
