Conversion from Photoshop Elements 24 to Lightroom Classic - catalog files greyed out

I am busy testing Lightroom Classic with a view to moving from Photoshop Elememts 24.

When I go to File - Import a Photoshop Elements Catalog, I navigate to the folder where my PSE24 catlogs are located, however the catalog files are greyed out. I can see old catlogs created in older versions of PSE.

I am running Macos Sonoma 14.5

Based on recent history, it is highly likely that future versions of Lightroom Classic will be able to import a PSE 24 catalog.

It seems like the LR Classic product cannot convert Photoshop Elements 24 catalog files. This is not a system problem on my computer, but is a deficiency in the product. As a PSE user for many years (more than 10) I have 150,000 photographs stored in six PSE24 catalog. Without the ability to convert PSE24 to LR Classic the LR Classic product is useless to me and I cannot consider a migration path to this.
