Corrupt catalog and LrC 2025 will not open

Question

Please advise: When I try to start LrC 2025 i receive the Error message "The Lightroom Catalog 'file name' is corrupt and cannot be used until it is repaired."

LrC will not open when I double click to start. I also have a permanent banner on my screen stating "Lightroom - Opening Catalog: File Name.psd"

This is on the Windows platform, Windows 11.

I have tried re-booting, re-installing LrC, but nothing works.

NOTE: I'm an experienced LrC user, and an inexperienced PS user. Before this happened, I tried to save a file from PS, then import it to LrC after deleting a previous version of the same file. Please help.

Your catalog file is corrupted. You need to restore a recent backup of your catalog file (which hopefully will not be corrupted) and then open that backup. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/restore-backups-2021/
