Corrupt Catalog in Lightroom Classic

Lightroom Classic won't open, writes that my catalog is corrupt, cannot be used until it is repaired, and then nothing happens.

Your catalog is corrupt. You need to restore a recent backup copy of your catalog file.

Also, FYI, the new forum is so poorly designed that many users are confused. The first dialog box when you type a new question should be the title (it doesn’t say that) which is a few words that describe the problem, like “Catalog Corrupt”. The next dialog box is where you should type the details.
