Message reads "Lightroom Catalogue Corrupt and cannot be used till it is repaired."

Once again I get that horror message that there is a problem with my catalogue. If its not one problem then another problem crops up.

I did mange however to solve the problem as Lightroom did fix my catalogue when I opened it on my back up. I do a backup every time I exit now.

However L/R still cannot be trusted to work correctly.

I would say the error message means exactly what it says- "LRC Catalogue xxxxxx is corrupt "

Knowing why a Catalog becomes 'corrupt' is difficult- could be failures of the hard-drive, or an unexpected shut-down of the computer, etc.

Waiting for a 'Repair' will very rarely correct the corruption, you are better to find your most recent Catalog Backup and restore that from its ZIP folder. Details in this link-

RESTORE A CATALOG FROM BACKUP

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
