Corrupted Images

After updating LR 13.01, I went back to some images I took while in Paris in 2009 and when I selected one of them, LR instantly corrupted the file!!!  I have never seen this happen before and I had accessed these files over the years with no problems.  I could find no way to undo this corruption and this is totally unacceptable.  The files are NEF files from a Nikon D300.  Any help would be greatly appreciated before I lose the rest of my files.  I'm not trusting this update.  I have attached a file showing what is happening, and no, there is no camera movement, just the corruption of the file.  I'm using Win 11 with the latest update.

File corruption is always caused by failing hardware, no exception. It can be a failing drive or bad RAM, but also worn and loose cables/connectors (especially in the case of external drives). Or saving/opening over a network connection.

This is why we all keep backups. A component can fail at any time.

Lightroom never modifies the image data. It's just read. Adjustments and everything else are stored as text instructions separate from the image data.
