That graphics chip is 8 years old, and the most recent driver from AMD is 7/27/2021, 2.5 years ago, indicating AMD is no longer fixing bugs in the chip's driver. LR's AI masking commands are very sensitive to driver bugs, and you're most likely tripping over bugs in the driver.

You could try disabling LR's use of the GPU for AI masking:

• From that GPU info, I take it this is a laptop? (see REF 1)
• Are you having CPU cooling issues?
• Are the vents on the laptop clear of dust, clear of obstructions?
• LrC is very resource hungry. It can trigger hardware issues that go unnoticed when using other software (please do not state but PS works, not even apples vs oranges) And Laptop overheating has been known to happen, especially if the vents are clogged.

This does meet the minimum system requirements (see REF 2), but is not probably sufficient for AI masking. Now in your initial post you stated MASKING, is that any masking, or just AI masking that fails?
