I'm running Lightroom classic 13.5.1.

everything is up to date with Lightroom and mypcc.

Imm running windows 10

my Lightroom keeps closing and restarting mypcc at random times.
I've noticed it happens more commonly when using radial masks, but it does restart at other random times as well

Can you also p[ost in a reply a screenshot of your LrC /Preferences/Performance?

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

What is the exact make and model of your GPU? Please make sure this GPU has an up-to-date driver (and if it is an NVidia GPU make sure it is the studio driver and NOT the game driver).

If the driver is up to date and the problem still happens, then you will need to run diagnostics on all of your hardware to try to find hardware malfunctions.

I have a Radeon rx580.
It says it's currently up to date.

also ran a system diagnostics

no issues have flagged, although I'm not skilled in reading such reports

So, your GPU is over 7 years old, and so it may be it simply cannot perform all the tasks that LrC 13.5.1 asks it to do. So try turning off this GPU inside LrC: go to Preferences, go to Performance, and next to Use Graphics Processor, set it to OFF. See if that helps.
