    Hi @hopeful_Buttercupc8d3,

Thanks for reporting this. In addition to the System Info and workflow details requested above, please try the basic Lightroom Classic crash troubleshooting steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/desktop/technical-support/technical-issues/stability-issues/troubleshoot-crash-or-freeze.html

I’d also like to rule out the source location. Where are the photos you’re trying to add/import stored: on your internal drive, on an external drive/SD card, or on a network/cloud location?

If they’re on external or network storage, please copy/ download a few affected photos to a local folder (desktop) on your computer and try importing/adding them from there. Let us know whether Lightroom Classic still crashes.

If Lightroom Classic continues to crash, please submit the Adobe crash report: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

When you submit it, please use the same email address associated with your Adobe Community account so we can correlate the crash report with your case.

    Best,

    Hi @hopeful_Buttercupc8d3,

I’d also like to rule out the source location. Where are the photos you’re trying to add/import stored: on your internal drive, on an external drive/SD card, or on a network/cloud location?

Or camera card? Some camera cards are now treated as a disk and you can choose ADD if you have one of those camera cards.

Please go to Help->System Info and provide the information shown there.

Please explain what exact steps you are referring to by “try to add a photo to a folder”. Please be specific and detailed.

Please be 100% clear on what is crashing. Is it your software that is crashing? Does the whole computer crash? Something else?
