Create New Mask - Object while in Full Screen

Question

Good afternoon, 
ever since I've used LrC on my new M2 Pro MacBook (now Ventura 13.4.1), I've not been able to use object masking in full screen mode without it flicking back to the desktop. Other masking tools, it is fine, however I'm a massive fan of the object selection. I've followed advice on the Twitter help but after a maximum of one time working, it still persists. 
does anyone know how to fix this? 
drives me insane.

It's hard to tell from the phone video, but it appears you have New Objects selected, and as soon as you move the mouse pointer over the image itself, LR hides itself. (Screen recordings are very helpful, thanks -- in the future use the Quicktime app to make better recordings.) I don't know what you've already tried, but do this:

1. Restart the computer.

2. If that doesn't help, try resetting LR's preferences:

LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.
