Create presets only on existing folder on my HDD

After importing from an SD-card and then during creating of the previews Lightroom is crashed. The pics are on my HDD, but there are no previews visible in Lightroom after I restarted Lightroom.

I think: Import again. The checkbox "don't import double photo's" is checked (I don't know the exact frame, because I use the Dutch version) so I would think it doesn't import anything but immediately goes to creating presets.

Unfortunately:  next to foto1, foto2, foto3 etc, it creates the same  photo but then foto1-2, foto2-2, foto3-2.

Then I thought: Library - Presets - Create Presets : doesn't work, it thinks there are no photo's in that specific folder (because it crashed during creating presets?)

So, how do I only create presets, without creating double photo's, on that same existing folder on my HDD?

You talk about 'presets' all the time, but obviously you mean previews. If the photos are not in Lightroom but they are already in their destination folder on your disk, then they have not yet been succesfully imported into the catalog, due to the crash. You can't create previews for images that are not yet imported. To solve this, do not import again from the memory card, but right-click on the folder in the Lightroom folder panel and choose 'Synchronize Folder'.
