Creating Keyword Tag for tagged faces in many photos

I've just realized that I many of my photos have people tagged in the image, without corresponding Keyword Tags.  For example a picture of Bob shows the box around his face, with his name by the box and below the the photo, but nothing appears in the Keyword Tags box. If I click on his name by the box on the photo and just hit enter (as if I was editing his name, but without making any changes) then his name Bob will appear in the Keyword Tag box.  It's not a case of face recognition giving me a suggestion - there's no question mark by his name, and it shows his name below the photo (not "unnamed person").

These are probably face tags that were imported from Picasa, but for some reason weren't recognized as Keyword Tags.

Is there a way in Lightroom (or with a Plug-in) to automatically go through all of my 50,000 photos and if there is a face tag, add the corresponding Keyword Tag?

(I'm using Lightroom Classic CC, v7.0.1)

Thanks!

Picasa recorded face tags with industry-standard "regions", whereas LR uses both regions and keywords.

A workaround is to select all the affected photos in LR, do Metadata > Save Metadata To File, run an ExifTool script that copies the face tags from the regions to the keywords, then in LR do Metadata > Read Metadata From File (after first having made backups of your catalog and photos!).   See this thread for more details: Re: Face image region data written according to XMP-mwg-rs, but NOT read by LR.  I wouldn't recommend this unless you are already reasonably skilled with writing command-line scripts -- ExifTool has a steep learning curve.
