Crowd Strike Falcon on demand scan catalogue error

Running LrC catalog from USB drive (Samsung P9 1TB) where I have all images and the catalogue file (latest version as of today). The anytime the crowd strike fancon scan triggers LrC will freeze with error saying there has been issue accessing the catalogue file. This makes LrC completely unusable.

    First, thanks for the replies.

Second, all the solutions you named are of course known to me (but also not accessible).

Third - the issue is that nothing is being blocked rather the Lightroom Classic cannot handle the momentarily disk use. So in my eyes this is pure performance issue and I would really appreciate you can simulate such behavior to observe yourself. To me there is no reason for a program accessing a database (LrC+it's catalogue) to display errors or freeze when the use of the respective drive is higher thanks to other applications running there.

Hey, @s3icc0. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. You’ve got the right suggestions from @Ian Lyons, and @AxelMatt

CrowdStrike Falcon is typically deployed on an IT-managed device alongside other end-user device management policies. If your device is managed by an IT team, please seek support from them to configure exceptions for Lightroom-related files & folders.

    Thanks!

Access to the catalog is restricted to LrC when application is open. This is why Crowd Scan, which I assume is a virus checker, is flagging an issue with the catalog. I suggest that you remove LrC catalog from the files, etc that are scanned.

I don’t know anything about Crowd Strike Falcon, but two ideas.

First move the catalog to the internal hard drive and check again.

Second exclude all files related to the Lightroom catalog from the on demand scan.
