dehaze slider creates artifacts

Hello,

 

Never ever have I experienced a big technical problem with Lightroom classic (latest update, 23 dec 22) until just today. It seems photo's where I used or have use the dehaze function in older catalogues show serious artifacts, or even the whole photo is disappeared in black. (See attached video) I expect this problem has to do with the dehaze function because when I set its value to 0 a photo that shows this problem returns to the screen. Could someone please look at this and come back to me with a response?

I use a macbook 16 inch, BigSur OS 11.6.5.

Be interesting if the OP sees the same issues in Adobe Camera Raw which has no such feature (yet?). I wonder if the artifacts reported are seen there with GPU on.

In LrC, in /preferences/performance/  turn the use Graphics Pricessor Off, see what happens.

    Hmmmm, it seems to make a difference. I have no problems anymore.

    Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be copied from 'Help > System Info' using the 'Copy' button at top right corner of System Info dialog
