Recently, when I try to edit an image from LR in PS, it can take up to 15 minutes from the time I open LR before I'm able to have the file open in PS. This is a regular occurence. What's happening and why is it taking so long to get going? Any suggestions?

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out! I'm really sorry to hear that you've been experiencing delays in your workflow. Here are a few things you can try to improve the performance:
1) In Lightroom Classic, go to Catalog Settings > Metadata and uncheck Automatically write changes into XMP.
2) Clear Caches in both applications:
- For Lightroom, go to Edit > Preferences > Performance > Purge Cache under Camera RAW Cache settings. You can also try increasing the Cache size.
- For Photoshop, go to Edit > Purge > All.
3) Reset LrC's and Ps's preferences: Make sure to use the manual method to reset preferences

4) Make sure Lightroom and Photoshop have Full disk access on your Mac. Here's how you do it: How to give Full Disk Access to Lightroom Classic on macOS - Adobe Product Community - 12913413
-The process is the same for both applications.
