Deleting Folders Completely

Fast forward to 2025. I want to REMOVE folders that do not belong in LR AT ALL. But once I allowed access to folders permission, LR put every single folder on my computer into LR. Um, no thanks there is no way to edit my taxes so they look good on the wall....... I tried the above method but given that things have changed since 2017, I am stuck with these options instead: Include subfolder (No thank you), Dock folder (No thank you) and Show in Finder, already got that..How to I simply remove the folders from LR while keeping them on the computer.
