Another reason NOT to delete Catalogs-

If you do not have any photo files, and no backups of the files, then it can be possible to 'Extract' photos from the Catalog.

This might, as least, restore some of your photos if they are important to you.

Info in this link-

EXTRACT JPGs FROM PREVIEWS

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Hello - Please take a look at this article here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/create-catalogs.html

Update your post if you have more questions following these directions on how to create and manage catalogs.

It sounds like you still have your catalog. If so, do not delete it. Restore the backups of your photos to the original locations. Then your catalog will work fine, no need to start fresh.

What about backups? Do you have backups of your photos? It is my philosophy not to go down the path of deleting catalogs unless absolutely no other choice remains. So do you have backups?

Also, from now on, I respectfully request that you write in actual sentences rather than one long run-on sentence with no punctuation whatsoever. That will make it easier for me to understand what you are saying. Thanks.
