Deleting photos while scrolling in library grid make me re-select next photo before arrow keys work

As I'm scrolling through photos in Develop View using the right arrow on my Win 7 PC I hit the "Delete" button to and select "Delete from Disk" for the blurry or unwanted photos.

Once I delete a photo, lightroom moves to the next photo but my right arrow will not work to continue scrolling through the photos. I.e. When I delete a photo I have to manually click my mouse on the next photo before the right arrow will work.

This works sometimes but more then often gets into a mode where I have to keep selecting the next photo to advance before the right arrow will work again.

Any ideas?

Ken

If you're looking for a quick way to cull images, activate your caps lock and then you can press the letter X to mark an image for deletion. When you do that Lightroom will automatically move to the next image. If you don't want to mark that image you can press the right arrow key or the 0 key to move to the next image, Or you can press other numeric keys if you want to rate them as you go. Then, when you have gone through all of the images and are sure you want to get rid of the ones you have marked, you can press Ctrl+Bkspc and Lightroom will display only the images that have been marked for deletion and will ask you if you want to remove them from Lightroom or delete them from disk.
