Denoise

Using Denoise doesn't make any difference to my photo.

I enlarge the photo and see no difference before and after.

I have upgraded to 15.0..1

I am using a brand new Imac with M4 chip so the graphics card is brand new so this cannot be the issue that I have seen mentioned.

I only use RAW images.

I have to tick RAW Details before even the Denoise tick button will scan. Is this correct?

@magician john

History shows that you applied Raw Details, then Denoise. You don't need to do that, applying Denoise automatically applies Raw Details.

What is in the Pasted settings?

Go back to the beginning, no edits, then apply Denoise only. Does that work?

I have removed all edits and gone back to how Imported on several photos and still the same. if I hit the Denoise button then it just dissapears and nothing is updated.

Show a full screen shot of LrC and the problem photo in Develop with the History open and the Detail panel fully open.

Liitle bits of various irrelevant panels are of little use to anyone trying to help you.

Why do you expect the Adaptive Profile to be listed in the AI Status when you don't appear to have it applied?

Here is the full screen shot

I have followed the procedure as per youtube from Matt Kloskoski and the AI  Icon cog to the very right of the Develop panel in his tutorial turns Yellow and "Adaptive Profile" is shown for you to "update" My cog stays grey and the wording 'Adaptive profile" doesn't appear. I have applied the "Denoise" feature as the box is ticked.Screenshot 2025-12-06 at 13.59.27.png

Please show us a screen capture of the entire Develop Module screen before you try the denoise, with the image shown at 100% magnification and showing an area with visible noise, and with the Detail panel on the right expanded. Then show us another scree capture of the ENTIRE Develop Module screen after the Denoise step, with the image shown at 100% magnification and showing the same area as before, and with the Detail panel on the right expanded.

Please use the "Insert Photos" icon to include your screen captures in your reply. Do NOT attach files.

Please share the original RAW photo (if possible) via DropBox or similar file sharing service, and let us know the link to the file so we can download it and try it on our computers.

Brand new computer hardware does sometimes malfunction. You can't just say the problem is not the chip because its new.
