Denoise crashing.
My laptop is a Dell G3 15 3500 8GB RAM,with an Nvidia GTX 1650 and 4GB of GDDR6 vRAM. It benchmarks on 3D, mark at 3995, double the minimum 2000, quoted. It has an NVme 500 GB SSD, and runs a brand new 1TB Toshiba Canvio HDD, on which my photos are stored. Every half dozen or so times I use Denoise it gives the unexpected error and crashes, disabling GPU acceleration. Sometimes the preview shows a normal picture before the error, half the time it shows large magenta and purple blocks at the bottom of the screen, so I shut LRC down and restart it, which allows Denoise to run. Typical times to run Denoise are 2-3 mins, which seems to be very slow. I'm looking at 4 possible causes, GPU acceleration off in preferences, Lack of system RAM, faulty discreet NVidea card, or the photos coming from an external HDD via USB 3.2 and the data not transferring fast enough to catch up with the gpu as there wasn't a usb c cable in the box. I know the unexpected error is usually due to not enough vRAM as I bought this laptop to replace an 8GB Ram quad core AMD processor with a 1TB HDD and a 128 MB Radeon R4 graphics card. The specs should more than enough run Denoise without any crashing. Can anyone help me please?
Regards,
Colin.
