Denoise: Denoise is not currently compatible with this photo format.

Hi,

i hope someone can help me: I took concert photos and used the Denoise tool. The next day when I continued editing the tool was not working anymore and it said "Denoise is not currently compatible with this photo format."
I have a Nikon and the raw format is NEF.  Before two days ago it always worked fine.

Does someone know a solution to this problem?

thanks a lot,

Theresa

Can you share a sample of that RAW file. Perhaps via DropBox, or another Cloud Share.

Are talking about the denoise slider, or Denoise AI?

Is it possible you are trying to denoise a DNG file that has already been denoised with AI? Denoise AI only works on raw files.

I don't know if there is an option to downsize the raw to fewer pixels in a Nikon camera (I do not mean the compression of file size which is not a problem), but if there is a downsized raw, these cannot be used in Ligthroom Classic's AI Denoise.

Also possible is that you accidentally shot the photo as JPG.
