Photo picked will process but no DNG file is created. Just leaves me with a blank screen when its finished process. I have to pick the photo again. was working great up to the time I had to shut down for a couple of days. Re started my computer after the couple of days went into Lightroom Classic processed a photo, ran it through Denoise and the problem started. Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

Thanks

P.S I am running a MacBook Pro Processor 2.3 GHz 8core Intel Core I9

Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Memory: 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

macOS Ventura 13.4

I've been following several conversations on this topic as DeNoise also stopped working for me. I have made no changes to my computer or the types of RAW files. After pressing "DeNoise", the window displays a blank screen, but lets you view the original "noisy" file. Unfortunately, I cannot save the file and a DNG is not created.

Enough people have raised this issue that I would expect Adobe to have started researching the problem rather than continually throwing it back to the users to determine what they have done wrong.

On a side note, manual denoise (example : luminace) seems to work. But not the new fancy AI Auto DeNoise.

Hey @KenMacD123! Sorry for the trouble. I'll pass this along to the team. Could you let me know which version of Lightroom you're using and if you're on Mac or Windows? In the meantime, here are some steps we can try to fix the issue:

  • Check Compatibility: Make sure you're using a compatible RAW file format (Bayer or X-Trans).

  • Update Lightroom Classic: Ensure you have the latest version installed. Check for updates via the Creative Cloud app.

  • Update GPU Drivers: Denoise is GPU intensive, so ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Download the latest drivers from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel. On Mac, click on the Apple in the upper left corner of the screen to check if updates are available.

  • Adjust Preferences: Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance and enable the Use Graphics Processor option. If it's already enabled, try disabling and re-enabling it.

  • Restart Lightroom: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.

Let me know if this helps, and tag me with an @ when you respond so I can follow up. Thanks!

Alek

Before responding to your questions, a couple of comments:

*
I have been using Creative Cloud / Lightroom Classic for quite a while, and DeNoise for many months. This issue just started in the past few weeks.
*
I have not changed cameras or RAW file formats. DeNoise no longer works on any of my RAW files, old or new.
*
When I click on DeNoise, the pop up window appears blank for the enhanced photo sample, but if I click on the window, I can see the original photo sample.
*
Then, this happened...
*
After 2 wks of DeNoise not working, it has decided to start working today! I went through other suggestions from the Adobe Community and made no changes. I also checked the filters (DNG were not being filtered out). I cannot explain why DeNoise started working again. I cannot explain why it started working again. As mentioned, I made no changes since submitting my original post.

Responses to your original questions:

*
Lightroom release 14.0.1 and shows as no newer updates available
*
Camera RAW 17.0
*
NVIDEA GeForce RTX 3070 drivers are up to date (the only activity I can see from Nov 28, 2024 is as follows: "Driver Management has concluded the process to add Service nvlddmkm for Device Instance ID PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_2488&SUBSYS_C9031028&REV_A1\4&B36F5C3&0&0008 with the following status: 0."
*
Lightroom was restarted with no change
*
I did not understand your instruction (I'm on a PC with Windows 11) "Adjust Preferences: Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance and enable the Use Graphics Processor option."

Did you make sure it is not part of a stack?

Did you make sure the current sort order is not fouling you up?

I thought it may have been stacked but it didn’t show a number on the upper
left hand corner of the photo.
